Free places for the Liverpool conference for people from BAME communities

Bursaries (free places) for ISPS International conference , Liverpool 2017.

ISPS UK is committed to increasing the involvement of people from BAME communities in all of its activities. It was been awarded a grant of $4000 by ISPS International to help develop this commitment. One of our actions is to award 6 bursaries (free places) to the above conference. Each bursary will enable attendance at the conference plus one social event and a contribution towards travel.

To be eligible for the bursary an individual must:

Have a commitment to the ethos of ISPS either as member of staff, person with lived experience of psychosis, family member or friend.

Be resident in the UK.

Be involved in focus groups for people from black and Asian communities to be held before and during the conference.

Attend the conference presentation ‘ISPS – for whites only?’ and participate in discussions.

Write a number of brief blogs describing the above activities.

Have a commitment to help develop activities and events after the Liverpool conference that encourage the involvement of people from black and Asian communities in the activities of ISPS UK as approved by the committee, reporting back to it as requested.

Current members of ISPS who introduce a non-member fitting the above criteria will be eligible for a voucher towards the cost of future events run by ISPS UK.
